Season One is the first BTDRE season. BTDRE is the broader exploration of how people understand, experience and express themselves; this season explores those questions through fashion and anime, as a creative competition.

Eligibility
Who can apply.
Season One is open internationally. No modelling experience, no following and no industry connection is required or expected.
- You are 18 or older at the time of application.
- You can commit to the full season, including the final show.
- You are willing to be filmed, photographed and quoted.
- You apply as yourself — no agency representation is required, and none is preferred.
- You can take part in English, or with an interpreter you arrange in advance.
What to prepare
Five things, none of which need a production budget.

Your written Style Portrait
Six short written sections about your presence, the self you are becoming, your wardrobe reality, the environments that matter, your personal rules, and what alignment would feel like for you. Written honestly, not impressively.

2–3 outfits from your own wardrobe
Photographs of real outfits you already wear. No form filling for each one — you describe your style and why you chose them once. Plain photographs are fine. Maximum 10MB per image.
- 03
One short video
Up to 90 seconds, filmed on any device, of you talking about one outfit and why you chose it. This is how the team hears your voice — production quality is not assessed. Maximum 200MB.
- 04
A note on anime
A short paragraph on a character whose presence interests you and what it gives you permission to try. Knowledge of anime is welcome but expertise is not required.

Practical details
Where you are based, your availability across the season, and anything the team should know in order to make taking part workable for you.

Every application is read by a person.
Confirmation
You receive an immediate confirmation and your application appears in your contestant dashboard.
Human review
Every complete application is read by the BTDRE team. No automated system selects, ranks or filters applicants.
Shortlist conversation
Shortlisted applicants are invited to a conversation — a discussion about the season, not an audition.
Outcome
Everyone who submits a complete application is told the outcome, whether or not they are selected.
- Your application is private. It is visible to the BTDRE review team only.
- Photographs and video you submit are never published without your explicit, separate permission.
- You can request deletion of your application and account at any time.
- Your material is never used to train third-party models.
