Bring yourself, not a character.

You are not applying to BTDRE in the abstract — you are applying to a BTDRE season. BTDRE is the broader exploration of how people understand, experience and express themselves. Season One explores those questions through fashion, with anime as its creative language, and it runs as a real creative competition.

This may be for you if

  • You think about how you present yourself more than you usually admit.
  • You are willing to explain a choice rather than only make it.
  • You are comfortable being seen mid-process, not only when finished.
  • You are curious about the gap between how you see yourself and how you appear.

What BTDRE is not

  • A makeover. Nobody is corrected, improved or restyled into someone else.
  • A talent search for professional models or stylists only.
  • A psychological assessment. Nothing here diagnoses anyone.
  • A fashion company. Fashion is the medium of this season, not the definition of BTDRE.

How Season One is judged

70% creative expression.
30% BTDRE intentionality.

Two complementary dimensions. Creative excellence is what the competition rewards; the BTDRE layer is what makes it a BTDRE season rather than an ordinary fashion contest.

70%

Creative Expression — Fashion & Anime

How creatively and effectively a contestant uses fashion and anime as an expressive language: the look, the styling decisions, and the craft of building character rather than costume.

30%

BTDRE Intentionality

How consciously a contestant understands and works with the relationship between who they are, what they intend, and how they choose to express it.

  • Reflection & Growth5%

Judging applies to the creative work made inside Season One. The Style Lens contributes to the participant experience and reflection only — it is not part of the official competition score, and BTDRE's reflective method never reduces a person to a number.
