Terms

The agreement, in plain words.

A summary of how BTDRE works and what taking part involves, written to be read rather than skipped.

What BTDRE is

  • BTDRE is an interdisciplinary platform exploring identity, self-perception, expression and human behaviour through different creative mediums. Fashion is the first medium. It offers a framework, an interactive Style Lab, and seasonal explorations that a small number of people take part in.
  • BTDRE does not sell clothing and does not operate a shop.

What BTDRE is not

  • Nothing on BTDRE is psychological assessment, therapy or medical advice.
  • Nothing on BTDRE scores, ranks or diagnoses a person. Reflections are offered as possibilities, and you are free to disagree with all of them.
  • The Style Lens does not select contestants. Casting decisions are made by the BTDRE team.

Accounts

  • You are responsible for keeping your account details secure.
  • You must be old enough to apply for the season you are applying to, and the information you provide must be truthful.
  • You can close your account at any time.

Your material

  • You keep ownership of everything you write, photograph and film.
  • By submitting an application you allow the BTDRE team to read and review it for casting purposes only.
  • Publication of any of your material requires your separate, explicit permission, given in writing.

Taking part in a season

  • Selected contestants sign a separate participation agreement covering filming, publication, expenses and scheduling before the season begins.
  • Contestants can withdraw. What happens to already-filmed material in that case is set out in the participation agreement.

Changes

  • These terms may change as the platform develops. Material changes will be announced to registered accounts before they take effect.

This is a plain-language summary of BTDRE's intended terms. The binding terms of service, including governing law and the season participation agreement, are pending legal review and will be published before season applications open.
