What we hold, and why.
BTDRE asks people to write honestly about themselves. That only works if it is obvious what happens to what they write. This page says it plainly.
What we collect
- If you join the notification list: your email address and the preferences you choose.
- If you apply for a season: the written answers, photographs and video you submit, plus the practical details needed to make taking part workable.
- Basic technical information every website receives, such as the pages requested and the type of device used.
Why we collect it
- To tell you what you asked to be told — season announcements, application deadlines and release dates.
- To review season applications and contact applicants about the outcome.
- To run the season with the people selected for it.
Who can see your application
- Applications are visible to the BTDRE review team only.
- Photographs and video you submit are never published without your explicit, separate permission.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- Your material is never used to train third-party models.
How long we keep it
- Notification-list details are kept until you unsubscribe.
- Applications that are not selected are deleted after the season concludes, unless you ask us to keep you on file for future seasons.
- Material from a broadcast season is kept as part of the permanent season archive, under the terms you agree to before filming.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from any message we send, at any time.
- You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- You can ask us to delete your account, application and material.
- Write to hello@btdre.com and a person will handle it.
This page describes BTDRE's intended practice in plain language. The formal privacy notice, including the legal bases for processing and the named data controller, is pending legal review and will be published before season applications open.
